Feedback on RC from JW Friendly Site
by konceptual99 inthere has been some comment on the latest rc proceedings on that well know jw friendly site.. one set of posts has been particularly interesting as the poster related their own experience as an abuse victim when they were a child in the congregation.
this of course took courage and the poster deserves no criticism at all for this.
he is, however, still very supportive of the organisation.. this is his latest post:.

It's interesting reading on there how happy they were about Spinks' testimony. But things seem to have changed more negative over the last couple of days. It seems like a few people on there think Geoffrey Jackson should testify. -

Is It Time to regroup?
by John Aquila inhow much do you want to bet that the organization has already started preparing articles for the watchtower magazines, convention talks, circuit overseers talks and letters to bodies of elders, to refute what is happening in australia?
.
right now the most important thing for the wt to do is protect their image that they are gods visible organization.especially in the u.s. and latin american countries.

What that former CO/DO and current elder said just can't be true.
It also can't be true considering Australia is averaging at least one known pedophile per congregation. He's had to have encountered more based on the numbers. Correct me if I'm wrong, but if we extrapolate those numbers world wide, would JWs actually be the worst religion on average with child abuse?

It'll be interesting to see what the new JW broadcasting has regarding this situation (if anything). Will they say, "don't trust worldly reports. Only watch JW TV." Lol -

Question about the fade
by The Big Machine ini know there are a lot of threads on here about fading and i've read a lot of them, but i have a question that i haven't found the answer to yet.. what would happen if you move to a new congregation (or at least tell your old congregation that you are moving and to have your records moved), and you don't go to any meetings?
i see lots of the fading strategies say to go to some meetings and show your face until your name is announced.
what exactly happens if you don't go to meetings in the new congregation?.

It's ridiculous the process you have to go through to not get shunned (hopefully). You should be able to leave freely if you want to. Where in the Bible does it say to shun a person who chooses to freely leave? It's stupid.
Just one stupid thing of many..

So I guess the next meeting I go to in my new cong I'll have to introduce myself to an elder (any elder or one of the service committee) and mention that they need to ask for my records? -

Thanks for all the replies! It's nice to have a community here where many of us are going through or have went through the same thing. -

Thanks cultBgone! And thanks for the answers to my question. So I guess I have to go a few times until they get my records. Then completely stop. -

I don't mind giving out my cell number since I don't answer it if I don't recognize the number. And my address is really far out of the territory. You see, about 10 years ago I was able to change congregations for "work reasons" (though it was actually because of a few elders who were out to get me). And now I'm changing congregations for the same "reason", though now it's to fade. So I'm not too worried about people dropping by when I'm pretty far out of the territory. Even if they do, I just won't open the door. -
